Abstract

‘Body pain’ or let us say ‘physical pain’ to differentiate it from the ‘emotional pain’, is with no doubt, a phenomenon experienced along everyone’s existence as a living beings without any exception. Pain is intrinsic to life; life itself begin with a scream of pain, which accompanies us until death. What is the sense of pain? Why is it so tightly bonded to life? The pain which is felt in one’s flesh is purely self-affective since it doesn’t need any other reference but itself and therefore, pain proves that “life is nothing but experiencing oneself ” as Michel Henry ventures to say.
