Man and his Relationship with God from Abraham Heschel’s Perspective

Keywords: Divinity, Humanity, Judaism, Knowledge, Project

Abstract

The article presents the thought of Abraham Heschel, a Polish rabbi, about the relationship of man with God. This is not a divine vision centered on anthropomorphisms, but rather on the recognition of the limit that corresponds to what is human. The deductions that led to the proposition that it is God who needs man are exposed, thereby breaking the tradition of centering man as a being in need of God. The mission of man is understood as that of an executor of the will of God, which leads him to build better conditions for himself and his fellow man.
