Abstract

Carlos Pereda is a faculty member of the Institute of Philosophical Research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and he has been invited to several universities in America and Europe. He has published the books Debates (1989), It is Human to Talk (1991), Reason and Uncertainty (1994), Argumentative Vertigo. Ethics of Discussion (1994), Wanderer Dreams. An Essay on Philosophy, Moral and Literature (1998); Critique to Arrogant Reason (199), Learnings from Exile (2008), On Trust (2009) and numerous articles in diverse prestigious journals. In 1998, he received the Prize to Research in Humanities, by UNAM. He has the highest rank given by the National Research System of the mexican council for Science.
