Abstract

This article is a reply to Rodrigo Guerra’s text: “Personalism and New Rationality. The Transpolitic Interpretation of Modernity in the Philosophy of Karol Wojtyła”. On the first place, I will comment his critique of Modernity to stand out –as he does– that instrumental rationality colapses the reason on it own. On the second place, I try to show the important differences between Husserl’s Phenomenology properly said and, through the reading of Scheler, the method of Wojtyła. At last, I will point out the validity of a transpolitical reading of Modernity and the necessity of recovering the affirmation of human dignity.
